We are still patiently awaiting the final melt. It seems to refuse to call it quits, but our little pile has a limited number of days left!
I will be checking again a few times during the day tomorrow and keeping things updated here and on Facebook. I can’t believe it is still there!
I wanted to do a quick post to show the Great Egret we saw down at the river today.
The Egret was down at the opening of the river next to Route 11 almost to the traffic circle. My mom was the first one of us to see it, and took me down to take some pictures. It was still there a few hours later, and may even still be there now. I thought it was pretty neat, a first time for me to see one for sure!
Well, it isn’t much, but we did get a light dusting of snow last night. I was a bit surprised when I woke up, but that’s how it goes in the Spring in New Hampshire.
I guess we could feel lucky, apparently some places could have seen a real quick dump of 1″-2″ this morning. So overall, I am glad we only got the light dusting.
This seems like a strange pattern for snow, but that does go along nicely with the winter we had. The weekend will bring some warmer temps, up into the 50° range. I am looking forward to it, as I have a bike ride planned for Sunday!
